RULES AND REGULATIONS OF PASS CHRISTIAN ISLES GOLF CLUB, INC PROLOGUE |
The following rules and regulations have been adopted for the best interest of the entire membership of the club. The committee chairperson will welcome any criticism or suggestion by the membership and it is requested that these be submitted in writing and signed so that they may be given proper consideration. Subject to approval by the Board of Directors, each committee may adopt and enforce reasonable rules, imposing penalties within their respective jurisdictions. Rules and regulations listed below to supersede all previous rules and regulations.
I. CLUBHOUSE
1. The General Manager is charged with the responsibility of executing the rules and regulations of the club. The decisions of the General Manager are FINAL.
2. Clubhouse hours of business are to be set by the Board of Directors. The hours as set by the Board are subject to change in case of extreme bad weather at the discretion of the General Manager or the Golf Professional.
3. Individuals (under 21 years of age) will not be served alcoholic beverages at any time.
4. Individuals under the age of 21 will not be permitted to sit at the bar.
5. No raffle, except for the purposes of the club, shall be permitted in the clubhouse or on the premises. No subscription or collections of any character, except for club purposes, shall be permitted. Any member who attempts to use his membership to influence any club employee in the purchase of supplies for the club, shall be considered to be misconduct and subject to suspension by the Board of Directors.
6. Employees of the club shall not be reprimanded by any members, visitors, or guests. Any complaints should be reported to the General Manager or the Golf Professional.
7. Employees of the club shall not be sent off premises by members, visitors, or guests.
8. Pets will not be allowed in the clubhouse or on the premises.
9. No property shall be removed from the club premises without
specific permission from the General Manager. Any property of the club damaged,
mutilated, lost by a member, a member of his family, or his guest shall be
paid for by such member.
10. The club will not, under any circumstances by responsible for the property of members, visitors, guests, or other persons brought on the club premises.
11. Members may arrange with the General Manager for private parties and meetings that do not conflict with the normal use of the club. Reservations are to be in the member’s names. Cost of food and drinks served is to be negotiated by the General Manager.
12. A) Members are responsible for signing their Charge Tickets (tabs) on a daily basis. If the member fails to sign the Charge Ticket, then the sale will be logged, notes added, and brought to the attention of the General Manager.
B) All Charge Tickets that are NOT paid on the date the charge is made will be recorded by the General Manager and billed on the last day of each month.
C) Monthly bills may be paid by mail or to the General Manager and any questions regarding monthly bills must be directed to the General Manager.
13. No member, guest, or visitor may be permitted to bring food, beverages, or refreshments of any character on the club premises. No beverages, except those provided by the club shall be consumed on the club premises. Package goods may not be opened on the club premises, except on planned authorized occasions. All beverages will be served by the drink from the bar.
14. Children ten and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
15. Reservations shall be made well in advance for any special club function with the General Manager or the Golf Professional.
16. Members, guests, and visitors are required to dress in keeping with the atmosphere of the club. Bathing suits and swimming pool attire will not be permitted in the clubhouse at any time.
17. No members, visitors, or guests will be permitted in the service departments of the club, except members of the board and members of the committees whose functions involve the service department.
18. There will be no restrictions on members bringing guests to the club, however, the number of guests may be limited on special occasions.
19. The conduct of a member detrimental to the good order, welfare, or reputation of the club is a violation of the club’s By-Laws. A member guilty of such conduct is subject to penalties handed down by the Board of Directors.
20. In the event of any violations of the rules and regulations of Pass Christian Isles Golf Club by a guest of a member of hotel, such guest may be denied club privileges permanently.
21. Complaints and suggestions must be in writing, signed and addressed to the House Chairman for proper action and consideration.
22. Only members, guests of members or authorized guests of the club shall be allowed club privileges.
23. Only authorized vehicles are allowed on club property.
24. The House Rules have been established for the benefit of the entire membership and are necessary for efficient and effective operation of the club. At the discretion of the Board of Directors, violations are subject to fine. Repeated violations will result in suspension or expulsion.

The cost of each class of membership is set by the Board of Directors.
II. RULES OF GOLF
Rules of the U.S.G.A. as properly modified by the Golf Committee and approved by the Board of Directors shall govern conduct of play. All members are expected to familiarize themselves with the following regulations and the U.S.G.A. rules of Golf & Golf Etiquette.
1. GUEST REGULATIONS:
1. Members are responsible for their guests and their observance of all Golf rules.
2. All golfers, members and guests must register in the Pro Shop before teeing off.
3. Non Member play is authorized as follows:
(A) Guests of members
(B) Guests of authorized Packagers.
(C) Guests as authorized by the General Manager or the Golf Professional.
4. The member shall be responsible for any debts incurred by their guest.
5. Guest matches constituted of foursomes, threesomes or twosomes is permitted (exception to this rules will be at the discretion of the Golf Professional.)
2. GOLF CART REGULATIONS
1. All carts must be signed for, charged or paid for in advance in the Pro Shop, and signee will be responsible for any negligent damage to or by the cart. Any failure to comply will be logged, notes added, and brought to the attention of the General Manager.
2. A private cart can only be used by its owner. A private cart cannot be loaned to anyone other than the club for special events.
3. A charge will be made to all non-owners of carts who ride in private carts, said charge to be an individual 18-hole cart rental fee.
4. No dual
membership ownership of golf carts is allowed.
5. For the purpose of these regulations, a husband and wife and
legally dependent children will be considered as one owner.
6. Charges for golf carts and green fees are set by the Board of Directors.
7. Golf Carts are not allowed on or near any tee, green, or bunker.
8. Golf Carts are not allowed to be driven in the area between the cart control posts and the greens.
9. When cart users are on the greens, the carts are to be parked on the cart path.
10. No one under the legal driving age may operate a club golf cart.
11. All carts are to be returned to the Pro Shop immediately after a round is completed.
12. In case of inclement weather, the Golf Professional shall decide golf cart restrictions or in his absence, the General Manager or the Golf Superintendent of the Golf Course.
13. More care must be exercised in the operation of carts particularly when the grounds are wet. The use of the golf carts involves the obligation to observe carefully the instructions for safety as well as those meant for the welfare of the golf course.
14 The Golf Professional is charged with the responsibility of executing the golf course rules and regulations. His decisions are final.
15. All signs, whether printed or otherwise designated, posted on Club Property are to be complied with the same as any other official and/or posted requisition.
16. Golf Carts are not allowed behind any green at any time (exception: Golf course employees).
III. GOLF COURSE REGULATIONS
1. The hours of 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. will be reserved for members and their guests. Any exceptions to this will be at the discretion of the Golf Professional. No one is allowed to start any place on weekends and holidays except at No. 1 tee. Anyone not starting on No. 1 on weekdays will have to call and advise the club. Any group who has started on No. 1 tee has the right of way.
2. Players beginning play from No. 10 tee must obtain permission from the Pro, but they may not begin play when:
A. Other players are approaching the 9th green.
B. Players are putting out on the 9th green.
C. Players are approaching the 10th tee.
3. Single players, Twosomes, and Threesomes have no priority over foursomes and fivesomes at any time except in the case of tournaments.
4. Players delaying the flow of play by stopping at clubhouse between 9’s may lose their position on the course.
5. In the case of lost balls or “slow play” you must allow the group waiting to play through. “Slow play” is defined as follows: “If the group directly behind you is waiting to play, and there is an open hole in front of you, then you are considered to be playing too slow and MUST invite the group that has been waiting to play through.”
6. Proper golf attire must be worn at ALL times. Listed below are the acceptable and unacceptable dress for males and females.

7. Only proper and authorized footwear may be worn on the golf course. No high heels, soccer shoes, baseball spikes, hard spikes, etc.
8. Practice is prohibited on all greens except practice greens and only on fairways as designated and approved by the Golf Professional.
9. Players must not climb the banks either for entering or leaving the bunkers, and should themselves smooth footprints left in the bunkers. Players are responsible to replace, repair and fill divots in the fairways and on the tees. All players must repair ball marks on the greens.
10. Players will not throw trash, cigarette butts, debris, cans, bottles, etc., anywhere on the grounds.
11. Players shall not use any greens or tees except those that are specified by flags or tee markers.
12. Use of loud and profane language is specifically forbidden. Golf is a game for ladies and gentlemen, and it is expected that players will so conduct themselves.
13. Carts cannot be reserved in advance by telephone.
14. The golf course recognizes Tuesdays as Pass Christian Isles Ladies Golf Association Day and shall get preferential Tee-times.
15. All golfers must have their own golf equipment. Only one person is allowed to play out of a single golf bag.
16. Hitting practice balls across Number 9 fairway from Number 1 tee area is prohibited.
17. Junior members under the age of 18 must check in the Pro Shop at all times for permission to play. Permission will be granted according to the ability of the junior golfer when not accompanied by the parent.
18. Supplements to these rules will be posted or issued in the Club.
19. Note Appendix (a), Golf Cart Storage Lease Agreement and Appendix (b), Terms and Conditions for the use of a Blue Handicap Flag.
IV. VIOLATIONS OF THE RULES OF
PASS CHRISTIAN ISLES GOLF CLUB
Violations of any of the rules may result in a fine of $10.00 for the first violation, $25.00 for the second violation, and suspension of privileges for repeat offenders. Any member so fined shall have the right to appeal to the Board of Directors, whose action will be final. Any member whose privileges are suspended, shall also have the right of appeal to the Board of Directors.
